Yes, I Use AI

Updated: Jul 8

There was a time when we used Lotus 123 for tabular representation. Then came Excel, revolutionizing how we present and interpret data. When we were in school and college, research and reference meant trips to the national library, USIS, or British Council. Then came Google, putting information and research at our fingertips.

We used to read books and newspapers physically; that was the only way. We had to wait for the physical copy, but then came Kindle and e-papers, and we transitioned. Shopping meant trips to New Market, an open market in Kolkata where I stay. Then came air-conditioned malls, and eventually, anytime, anywhere shopping through e-commerce. We all transitioned and moved with the times.

Building a network of friends once meant having pen friends with whom we exchanged letters, sometimes waiting weeks for a reply. Now, we have Facebook and LinkedIn, allowing us to connect with people instantly and maintain relationships across the globe. We all transitioned and moved with the times.

Now, AI is the tool revolutionizing our thinking and creative processes. It's democratizing content creation, removing mediocrity in writing and language usage. Why wouldn't anyone use it?

Embracing Technological Evolution

Technological advancements have always faced resistance before becoming integral to our lives. The transition from Lotus to Excel, from libraries to Google, from physical books to e-readers, and from traditional markets to e-commerce are all examples of how technology has improved efficiency, accessibility, and convenience. AI is the next step in this continuum.

AI: A Natural Evolution

AI is not about replacing humans but enhancing our capabilities. It’s a tool that helps us think more creatively and work more efficiently. Just as Excel didn’t eliminate the need for accountants but made them more effective, AI is making us better at what we do.

The Power of AI in Creativity

AI assists in generating ideas, crafting compelling narratives, and refining language, ensuring that content is engaging and error-free. It democratizes content creation, allowing anyone with a good idea to express it effectively. By handling repetitive tasks, AI frees up human creativity to explore new frontiers.

Removing the Stigma

Using AI should not be seen as a shortcut or a crutch but as an enhancement of our natural abilities. It’s a tool that empowers us to achieve more, just as the internet brought information to our fingertips. Embracing AI is about recognizing its potential to elevate our work, not diminish it.

The Future is Here

AI is revolutionizing industries, from healthcare to finance, and its impact on content creation is just the beginning. By leveraging AI, we are not only keeping pace with technological advancements but also setting new standards for quality and innovation.

The history of technological evolution shows that we have always embraced tools that make our lives better. AI is no different. It’s a natural progression in our quest for efficiency, creativity, and excellence. So, yes, I use AI, and so should you. It’s not a taboo; it’s the future. Let’s embrace it and continue to evolve.
